Policy
Official source policy
MoneyPotential exists to connect you with verifiable opportunities — not third-party promises. Every action card and guide cites at least one official or primary source you can open independently.
What counts as official
- U.S. federal and state .gov websites and published forms
- Regulatory agencies (IRS, CFPB, CMS, DOL, state controllers, insurance commissioners)
- Institution-owned pages for claims, benefits, or account recovery (your insurer, employer plan administrator)
- Published statutes and consumer protection guidance from recognized authorities
What we avoid
- Paid search services that charge upfront fees for free government lookups
- Affiliate funnels disguised as official portals
- Undated blog posts without primary citations
- Guaranteed recovery amounts or timelines we cannot verify
Updates and corrections
Sources include verification dates. If you find a broken link or outdated threshold, email hello@moneypotential.com or see our Limitations and corrections page.
Your responsibility
Always confirm eligibility, deadlines, and documentation requirements on the official site before acting. MoneyPotential summarizes paths to investigate — it does not file claims on your behalf.
